Beautiful Hope

More: All too often we are fooled by advice and experience. We accept that certain things can never be made possible. It is this submission to “undeniable” arguments and facts that damages our spirit. It is this that kills our enthusiasm for games we might play with life. Struggle doesn’t kill us. We are fine with struggle. We may even find it fun. It is the verdict of impossibility, passed upon our ambition, that makes pursuit and struggle appear futile.

Always go where you are promised hope. Always seek out those who hold out hope. Yes, there are some out there wanting and waiting to take you for a ride. You’ll have to learn to navigate around their kind. You’ll have to learn to separate the “maybes” from the “maybe-nots”. You’ll have to learn this through trials and triumphs. But make it a habit to try the “maybes”, to pursue them. And in the “maybes”, maybe you’ll find life.

Hope is a beautiful thing. It’s the best of things. Where there’s hope, there’s life.

(c) Mickey Kumra

PS: It’s been brought to the notice of the author that this quote (the preceding two lines) is worded similar to some lines from the Hollywood movie, The Shawshank Redemption. The “similar” lines (dialogue) from the said movie are: “Remember Red, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.” Whether or not this is merely a coincidence is hard to prove. But the accompanying note here on this page should at least help to establish that the underlying thought and intended interpretation of the quote are different from that of the dialogue.
