Better The Villain

If you cannot, do not, injure anybody, how do you overlook the injuring of one? How do you allow injury to your own person? Or if you think it’s sin to cause harm, or that it’s sin to allow harm, how do you not think that it’s sin to not respond when harm is being done to you?

There’s no pride or prize in taking things lying down. Not unless it’s a deliberate strategy of persuasion. It’s alright to let people misunderstand you, but you just cannot let them mistreat you. You cannot be sacrificed. You are to live as full a life as you can. You are to use yourself to bring fullness to as many as you can. You are not to let yourself be sacrificed unnecessarily.

Better the villain than the victim.
