You know what is painful?
When ideas of a particular somebody won’t stop ruling over you. When you are no longer with this somebody, or couldn’t be with them, and yet your awareness won’t stop from indulging every bit of itself in measuring everyone against every bit of your somebody. When it won’t stop from picking out how others use their voice, and verbs, and everything else differently from your somebody, and how your somebody used them better. When your ideas of this somebody won’t allow you near any other body, when they won’t let you know any love with anybody.
That is painful.
